8VA Music Consultancy seeks a highly organized and responsible Publicity Assistant to join our team immediately. This role focuses on administrative tasks and supporting the pitching and account teams. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and an excellent communicator who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Requirements
Core Responsibilities
- Correspond with clients and managers frequently, handling requests with care, discretion, initiative, and attention to detail
- Pitch stories, projects and events to media for client coverage
- Serve as client account contact for a small grouping of clients
- Create and execute social media content
- Submit clients’ concert listings across relevant online event platforms
- Assist with media scheduling and coordination for clients
- Assemble and provide client materials for media engagements
- Attend client meetings, providing meeting minutes as needed and following through with tasks as assigned
- Assist in maintaining efficient office workflow and administrative systems
- Conduct research and provide support for special projects, reporting to the Managing Director
Qualifications and Skills
- Passion and professional knowledge of classical music
- Bachelor’s required, preference towards degrees in the performing arts
- Working knowledge of social media channels (Meta, Instagram, TikTok), Canva, Google Drive, and Microsoft Office
- Basic graphic design, web design and video editing skills are a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Self-directed, proactive, and dependable
- Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines
- Reliable, responsible, and collegial
- Integrity, discretion, and respect for confidentiality
- Strong sense of ownership of responsibilities
Time Commitment & Compensation
- 20–30 hours per week, remote (work-from-home)
- Flexible schedule; preference for New York–based candidates
- Compensation: $25/hour
