- UX Designer
Description
As a UX Designer with a strong research foundation, you will shape intuitive, user-centered experiences by blending design craft with evidence-based insights. You'll partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams to create elegant solutions informed by usability studies and user feedback. Your role will involve designing interfaces, contributing to design systems, and conducting research that drives design decisions across all product areas.
Responsibilities
- Design engaging, accessible, and scalable user experiences across web and software products, ensuring consistency with design systems.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design concepts and uncover user needs.
- Translate research insights into actionable design improvements, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals.
- Establish and maintain best practices for UX design and research, fostering a culture of user-centered thinking.
- Communicate design rationale and research findings through visual presentations and storytelling.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture field insights and transform them into innovative design solutions.
Qualifications and Education Requirements for Consultant:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a design-related field or in psychology.
- 5+ years of UX or IX design experience.
- Proficiency in documentation and wireframing tools (Figma)
- Proficiency with online research and testing tools (Userzoom, Usertesting.com, etc.)
- Experience with rapid prototyping platforms and approaches (v0.dev, Figma Make, Replit)
- Demonstrated success in driving UX research across cross-functional teams to completion on time and on budget
- Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills, including the ability to work with diverse stakeholders, customers, and personality types
- Ability to travel as required
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate, sit, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and keypad. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision. This position requires the continual maintenance of employee, customer, or vendor relationships and the ability to perform the duties under a medium to high level of stress. The employee is required to have emotional stability to deal with people professionally as well as the need to meet tight deadlines. The employee must also have the ability to deal with confidentiality of personnel situations, managerial decisions, passwords, and financial/product information related to Ontario Systems' business.
