Today, as a proud part of Dover Corporation, a diversified global manufacturer and solutions provider, we continue to lead the industries we serve by delivering cutting-edge technology that secures brands, combats counterfeiting, and ensures product integrity worldwide.We are seeking a Product Certification Manager to work with cross-functional and outside partners on regulatory compliance initiatives, connecting with our product development team to ensure adherence to evolving regulatory standards, manage compliance testing execution and orchestrating Systech's product compliance program including certification processes. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an openly collaborative peer environment.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain an effective product certification and compliance program to prevent and/or resolve product impacts/delays to the customer while minimizing business risk to organization.
- This applies to hardware machines, cameras and accessories.
- Monitor and analyze the developing trends and changes in Environmental regulatory compliance laws, rules, and regulations and communicate the impact to the product teams.
- Maintain Product Compliance policies and procedures.
- Evaluate materials & product designs to ensure conformity with applicable local, regional, and global environmental requirements regarding substances and materials.
- Support and also drive/manage, as needed, product certification efforts for hardware/machines as it relates to electrical product/safety certifications and energy efficiency.
- Work closely with product design engineering and operations to advise and optimize designs for current and known future materials and end-product regulatory requirements.
- Serve as a technical expert providing support and advice to all functional teams with respect to product compliance.
- Interact with and manage conformity assessment efforts with regulators, outside agencies, industry trade groups/associations, and customers, as required.
- Evaluate product marking and user documentation to ensure compliance with applicable local and global requirements.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert and effectively communicate environmental and other relevant regulatory and standards requirements to internal and external customers.
- Work with regulatory agencies and other external sources to understand upcoming changes in regulations and to determine, in advance, the impact on new and legacy products.
- Evaluate product changes for impact to current approvals, ensure compliance certificates are current, and any upcoming expirations are appropriately addressed.
- Coordinate compliance efforts with Suppliers as needed to establish and maintain continued compliance.
- Develop, maintain & implement robust environmental controls, training and policies to ensure full compliance throughout a large, geographically diverse organization with sites in Princeton, NJ, Heppenheim, Germany and Oberlungwitz, Germany.
- Effectively coordinate product testing with regulatory agencies (e.g., UL, CSA, ITS, etc.) including working with engineering and operations teams to ensure required samples, technical
- Support company efforts towards developing Corporate Social Responsibility Program related product sustainability.

Qualifications & Experience we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, computer science, or similar technical discipline
- 6+ years of experience in compliance with safety, EMC or Radio standards/directives
- Experience handling product compliance, submitting products for global approvals, and obtaining certifications
- Experience performing the safety compliance assessment of devices in various categories (e.g. Design, test plan creation, test execution, certification)
- Knowledge of NRTL, FCC, Industry Canada, CE directives including but not limited to EMC Directive, Low voltage directive, Radio equipment directive, Machinery Directive, RoHS and REACH.
- Knowledge of EMC testing including EMC pre-compliance during product development, EMC testing at external labs, and EMC mitigation
- Experience handling product certification for access to global markets (e.g. CE, UL, CSA, PSE, NOM, BIS, METI)
- Knowledge of Cyber Security Compliance
- Experience communicating technical topics to interdisciplinary audiences
- Experience reviewing a design's construction for compliance.
- Knowledge and experience conducting safety compliance tests for US and international standards including hands-on technical experience to support EUT sample preparation, testing and troubleshooting.
- Experience conducting product risk assessments or failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA)
- Experience with failure analysis
- Experience responding to regulator audits
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization.
