We are seeking a detail-oriented, professional, and financially minded Reimbursement Manager to serve as the technical expert responsible for managing all reimbursement reporting and accounting for CHKD. This Reimbursement Manager will utilize their CPA and Medicaid/Medicare experience to analyze financial information and report to senior leadership. Additionally, this results-driven Reimbursement Manager will interpret reports, draw on their Medicaid legislative experience to provide executive-level summaries to internal and external constituents.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages all reimbursement reporting and accounting including summarizing, analyzing and interpreting financial information.
- Prepares monthly and year-end closing entries for the revenue cycle including patient receivables and contractual reserves.
- Keeps abreast of legislative changes in healthcare reform at the federal and state level, assessing and quantifying the impacts on the organization, and educating the organization as to upcoming changes.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum License, Education, and Experience Requirements:
- CPA designation required
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or closely related discipline.
- Seven to ten years of progressively more responsible reimbursement and/or relevant experience preferred.
- Must possess strong critical thinking, analytical and organizational skills necessary to summarize and interpret financial information from a variety of sources.
- Ability to communicate complex technical information effectively in a very dynamic working environment.
- Strong knowledge of mainframe and PC based systems.
- Must be proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel.
