Hours: Full-time, 40-hours/week
FLSA Status: Hourly, Nonexempt
Clearance: Ability to obtain a Secret level
Position Summary
The IT Project Manager provides leadership, coordination, and management of complex enterprise-level information technology projects supporting mission-critical operations. This role is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering assigned projects and tasking in accordance with technical requirements, cost constraints, schedules, and quality standards. The IT Project Manager leads cross-functional teams, coordinates with multiple stakeholders, and ensures project outcomes align with organizational objectives and delivers high-quality, reliable IT solutions. The performance of this position is key to RavenTek's performance on the contract, and therefore RavenTek's mission to support the customer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage assigned projects, task orders, and delivery orders to ensure successful execution of technical, financial, and schedule requirements.
- Plan, organize, direct, and coordinate all phases of project execution from initiation through closeout.
- Oversee sustainment, integration, and deployment of enterprise IT systems, including scheduling and maintenance-related platforms.
- Coordinate requirements validation, configuration management, data alignment, system updates, and system performance monitoring.
- Lead and direct project team members, including technical staff and subcontractors, as required.
- Coordinate activities across geographically dispersed teams and multiple stakeholder organizations.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks; resolve complex technical and programmatic issues.
- Ensure all deliverables meet contractual requirements, quality standards, and performance metrics.
- Prepare and deliver project documentation, status reports, metrics, and briefings to senior leadership.
- Support audits, reviews, compliance activities, training development, and user engagement efforts as required.
- Enter actual time worked, once complete, at the end of the day, or no later than 10:00 a.m. the following workday, and submit timesheets at the end of each pay period.
- Submit Monthly Status Reports on a regular basis, as required.
- Monitor RavenTek email on a regular basis, at least 3 times per week, and respond accordingly.
- Complete required compliance training as assigned.
- Ability to travel on an as needed basis up to 10%.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Critical Skills
- Extensive knowledge of technical projects and program management principles.
- Strong leadership in managing the full project lifecycle for enterprise IT systems.
- Ability to coordinate work across geographically dispersed teams and multiple stakeholder organizations.
- Proficiency in applying industry-standard project management methodologies to government and DoD programs.
- Must have an understanding of DoD operational frameworks, contract execution processes, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent risk management, problem-solving, and issue resolution skills.
- Ability to align technical solutions and project execution with organizational and stakeholder requirements.
- Effective documentation, reporting, and communication of complex technical and programmatic information.
Education & Work Experience
- Bachelor's degree (STEM preferred, but not required).
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in technical project management, enterprise IT systems, or related roles.
- Experience integrating, sustaining, and deploying enterprise-level IT and scheduling systems.
- Experience managing technical projects across multiple operating systems, platforms, and environments.
Certifications, Licenses
- CompTIA Security+ certification required.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification preferred.
- ITIL, Agile, or other relevant technical/project management certifications preferred.
Special Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret level clearance.
Work Environment
Employee will be working indoors in an office environment with other people. Potential moderate temperature fluctuations. Typical indoor and computer related noise level, and typical office, paper, and equipment related dust. Exposure to video display terminals occurs on a regular basis.
Physical Demands
To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, the employee needs to be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; see to read printed materials and computer screens; mobility to work in a typical office setting. Ability to work on desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time reading, reviewing/analyzing information, and may be required to provide recommendations, summaries and/or reports in written format. Must be able to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing. Employee must be able to lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically up to 20 pounds. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
