The Role
We are looking for a Financial Planning Associate to join our team in either Canberra or Melbourne. You will support a group of experienced Financial Advisers to support their clients.
As a Financial Planning Associate, your role will encompass all aspects of technical advice preparation, compliance and administration. It will provide you with both interesting and rewarding work where you will be a valued member of the team and make a real difference to our clients' lives.
Working in a hybrid environment, you'll assist Advisers with the preparation of client advice and communications.
A typical day may include:
Prepare comprehensive Statements of Advice working from adviser briefs, file notes and client data.
Discuss and finalise financial strategies with Financial Advisers and prepare draft advice documentation.
Conduct detailed financial analysis and modelling including cash flow, tax, superannuation and estate planning considerations.
Research and analyse superannuation products and financial structures to support recommendations
Coordinate implementation of accepted Statements of Advice and ongoing client reviews
Prepare technical briefing notes and strategy papers for advisers, proactively identifying innovative solutions to enhance outcomes and efficiency.
Coordinate and review client information and prepare materials for client meetings.
Respond to technical queries from advisers and liaise with product providers on their behalf.
Maintain compliance procedures and ensure all documentation meets regulatory and quality standards.
About You
We’re looking for someone with:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, Business or related field (or Diploma of Financial Planning) and RG146 compliant or able to achieve compliance within three months.
Graduate or career changer from accounting, banking, insurance, investment management or related professional services.
Exceptional attention to detail and outstanding written communication skills.
Strong analytical abilities and ability to interpret complex financial planning concepts.
Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a hybrid environment.
The ability to quickly learn new software systems.
Committed to ongoing learning and professional development.
Comfortable working in a technical specialist role supporting advisers.
Eager to contribute innovative ideas to improve processes and outcomes.
