Job Title: Finance Business Systems Analyst (Finance BSA)

The Finance BS closely with Finance Accounting, Product, and Digital Tech teams to deliver finance-related system solutions by analyzing financial and system requirements, contributing to ticketing, commerce, payment integration with SAP Finance , coordinating development and testing activities, and ensuring accurate financial posting and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for facilitating and supporting all stages of the finance system project lifecycle, including initiation, scoping, requirements definition, solution design, implementation, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.

• Partner with Finance Accounting stakeholders to analyze and document requirements related to:

o General Ledger (GL)

o Debit / Credit posting logic

o Amortization and accrual processing

o Ledger balancing and reconciliation

o Financial and management reporting

• Support leadership and peers in sound financial system analysis, SAP Finance solutioning, and decision-making.

• Translate accounting rules, finance policies, and reporting needs into functional system requirements and specifications, particularly for SAP Finance (FI/CO).

• Coordinate closely with development, integration, and testing teams to ensure:

o Financial postings are accurate and balanced

o Ledger entries comply with accounting standards

o Data integrity is maintained across integrated systems

• Support finance-focused testing and UAT, including validation of:

o Debit / credit balances

o Amortization schedules

o Period-end and adjustment postings

o Financial report outputs

• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Finance, Accounting, vendors, project management, and D&T teams, using effective communication and collaboration skills.

• Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established policies, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.

• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in both Japanese and English

EDUCATION

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Information Systems

• Or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below represent the required knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs).

• Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles, including:

o Debit / credit logic

o General ledger structures

o Amortization and accrual concepts

• Strong knowledge of SAP Finance (FI/CO) or equivalent ERP finance modules.

• Solid understanding of financial reporting, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and management reports.

• Strong business analysis skills, including requirements elicitation, process mapping, documentation, and impact analysis within finance systems.

• Strong knowledge of system integration and data flow across finance, accounting, and upstream business systems.

• Well-developed critical thinking, analytical, and communication skills (written and oral).

• Advanced interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across Finance, Accounting, IT, and vendor teams.

• Self-motivated and accountable, with a high level of ownership and responsibility. Schedule flexibility may be required to support finance system implementations and period-end activities.

EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years' experience supporting or delivering finance systems, ERP solutions, or SAP Finance-related initiatives.

• 3+ years' experience working in a large IT organization, finance transformation program, or consulting environment, partnering closely with Finance and Accounting stakeholders.

• Prior experience supporting:

o SAP Finance implementations or enhancements

o Finance system integrations

o Financial reporting or ledger-related projects

• Proven experience contributing to solution design, coordinating development and testing efforts, and supporting large-scale, multi-year enterprise programs.
